The whole point of Unfyltered is that people fall for a sentence before they see a face. That only works if the sentences are honest, the faces are real, and everyone feels safe enough to be themselves. These are the house rules. They apply everywhere — your profile, The Drop, chats, events, and how you treat people you met here once you're offline.
Be real
- Your photos, your face. No one else's photos, no celebrity pictures, no AI-generated images of people who aren't you, and no images so filtered or generated that the person at the table won't recognise you. Catfishing — pretending to be someone you're not — gets your account removed.
- Your real age. You set your date of birth once and it's locked. Lying about your age, in either direction, is account-ending.
- Your own words. Prompt answers and Question of the Day answers should sound like you, because someone might show up to dinner because of them. Pasting engagement-bait or running your profile through a bot defeats the entire product.
- One account. Yours. Not your friend's, not your "side" account.
- Get verified. The badge means a human checked that your selfie matches your photos. It builds trust for everyone — earn it honestly.
Lead with consent
- Phone numbers are double-consent by design. Nobody on Unfyltered can see your number — it's masked everywhere — until someone asks and you say yes. Honour that design in spirit: don't pressure anyone to share their number, their socials, or anything else. Asking once is fine. Asking again after a no is harassment.
- A no is a complete answer. Declined number request, unmatched chat, unanswered message — let it go. Don't find them at an event to continue a conversation they ended.
- No unwanted sexual content. Don't send sexual messages or images to people who haven't clearly welcomed them. Ever.
- Keep private things private. Screenshots of chats, someone's number once revealed, where someone lives or works — sharing any of it without consent is a serious violation.
No harassment, no hate
- No insults, threats, stalking, or intimidation — in chat, at events, or off-platform against someone you met here.
- No hate speech or degrading content targeting religion, caste, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, disability, or appearance. Bengaluru's tables seat everyone.
- No shaming people for rejecting you, for their answers, or for who they are. Disagreement is fine; cruelty isn't.
Event etiquette
- RSVP means show up. Seats at small events are scarce — if your plans change, cancel early so someone on the waitlist gets your chair. Habitual no-shows lose RSVP privileges.
- Check in when you arrive. It keeps attendance honest and unlocks post-event connections with people who were actually there.
- Hosts are people, not staff. Most events are run by users like you. Treat hosts with the courtesy you'd give a friend organising a dinner — and hosts, treat your attendees like guests, not leads.
- No pitching. Events are not the venue for MLM recruitment, startup fundraising, religious conversion, or selling anything. People came to meet people.
- Respect the venue. You're a guest in a real place. Settle your bills, follow house rules, and don't make a host regret listing.
No scams, no spam
- Never ask other users for money, financial details, OTPs, or "small loans" — and report anyone who asks you. Romance scams get banned on first confirmed report.
- No promotion, link-farming, follower-fishing ("DM me on Instagram" as a profile strategy), or commercial solicitation.
- No selling or soliciting sexual services.
Zero tolerance: minors and CSAE
Unfyltered is 18+ only. Any user found to be underage is removed immediately. Any content, behaviour, or solicitation that sexualises or exploits minors (CSAE) results in an immediate permanent ban, preservation of evidence, and a report to law enforcement and the relevant authorities. There is no warning step, no appeal, and no second account. If you see anything that worries you, report it with the underage reason — those reports jump every queue and suspend the reported account pending review.
How enforcement works
Most people never hear from us. When someone does, we aim to match the response to the violation:
- Warning — for first-time, lower-severity issues (e.g. a borderline photo). We tell you what to fix.
- Content removal & feature limits — repeat or moderate issues: photos or answers removed, event hosting or chat restricted.
- Suspension — your account is paused while we review serious reports.
- Permanent ban — for severe or repeated violations: harassment, scams, fake identity, off-platform abuse. Banned users may not create new accounts.
Severe cases — violence, threats, scams, CSAE — skip the ladder entirely and go straight to suspension or ban. If you believe we got a decision wrong (other than CSAE bans), raise it via Grievance Redressal; a human will look at it.
Help us keep it real
Every profile, photo, prompt, message, and event chat has a report option, and you can block anyone instantly — blocking removes you from each other's app completely, both ways. Reports are confidential; the person reported is not told who reported them. If something happened offline at an event or after a number exchange, you can still report it from their profile — off-platform behaviour counts here.
